When Fred and Ginger trap a spider under a cereal bowl for Dad to take care of later, it becomes the centre of attention for all the pets - household and 'pondhold' alike. Gasp discovers the spider, Barry, is a meek little guy with low self-esteem and feels compelled to help him appreciate his amazing web-spinning ability - but creates an egomaniacal monster in the process - one who is convinced that covering the entire house with webbing is high art.
