A meteor crashes on Earth and the Decepticons want its power. But with the Dinobots guarding it, they can't get to it. Megatron tries to trick the Dinobots to betray the Autobots.

War of the Dinobots is easily one of the best episodes from Transformers and also one of the best cartoon episodes ever.

A meteor hits the earth so the autobots investigate. Optimus Prime has Grimlock, Slag, and Sludge guard it from the Decepticons. Prime then has Chip help Ratchet to create two new dino bots. Megatron sends Soundwave to read the dinobots minds and find their weaknesses which he does. Megatron then tricks the dino bots into believing that Optimus Prime is an enemy to the dinobots.

The dinobots are my favorite group of Transformers so this is a great episode since it features the Dinobots. Grimlock, Slag, and Sludge get to do a lot in this episode.

The story is interesting. However I think it would have made more sense just for Megatron to convince the dino bots to destroy Prime rather than to join the decepticons. Just did not feel right to me for Megatron to order the dinobots around. So a flaw there.

I love how new dinobots are added. Snarl, Stegosaurus, is great and truly a great warrior and one of the most under rated Transformers in my opinion. Does not get nearly the credit as the other dino bots do. Swoop, Pteranadon, also is created. He is pretty cool also but I always wondered why he was chosen as a dinobot when his alt form is not a dinosaur. Just saying.

The final battle at the end between all of the dinobots is outstanding.

I highly recommend this episode.
