This is a bit of a tried and true plot. A loony professor of drama decides to exact revenge on men who slept with his young wife, a budding actress, before she died. He has an ultimate plan to use a loved one to hurt one of the men. This is a bit convoluted as many roads are investigated, and, once again, Jack comes under scrutiny. I would have to offer that things just evolve to a pretty far fetched conclusion. This is the kind of plot that Vincent Price may have done in movies of the Sixties. He would have used a torture chamber; this guy uses a small stage. There's something lacking in this offering. Maybe the same map used once too often.
