I don't see how people can be so delusional as to believe this nonsense. In countries whose leaders actually want to curtail liberties, they declare martial law, they revoke the constitution, they arrest opposition leaders, they shoot protesters, etc. It happens all the time. Do you see any of that actually happening in the U.S.? If so, you're hallucinating.

Meanwhile, if you want to see somebody curtailing liberties in the U.S., take a look at he huge multinational corporations who manipulate the global economy and spend billions on lobbyists to protect their interests politically. But why focus on things that are actually happening, when you can obsess about fantasies with no basis in actual events?

Whether you live in the United States, Canada, the UK or anywhere in the world, this film is an absolute must-see! Little wonder that Alex Jones is on the White House "Enemies List", as this documentary shows who Obama is working for, and why the US Constitution is being shredded in favour of a Global Government.

Although technically incomplete, as Obama has yet to complete at this writing a year in office, through interviews with economists and historians, "Fall of the Republic" shows the complete turn-about of Obama's promises as candidate, to his actions as the highest ranking official in what once was a country that stood for liberty.

If you wish to see it, it has been made available for free all over the Internet through various sharing means, although Alex Jones does sell it on his website in a high quality DVD version for a nominal sum.

See it for yourself, and wake up to the reality that has replaced the American dream. And make up your own mind about whether this is just "another conspiracy theory."

The tag line says it all -- "Liberty or Tyranny." We have to make the choice. There's nothing in between. And what I managed to watch of the film itself only spells the message out in more detail.

The problem with the tag line is that it's a logical fallacy called "false dilemma." You don't REALLY have to choose between "liberty" and "tyranny" at all. Every society -- if it exists at all -- has something in between. Liberty means the freedom to go about your business in some sensible way without harming yourself or others. That's how we usually define it anyway. It doesn't mean freedom to do whatever you want. That would be chaos. Here's how Judge Learned Hand put it:

"What is this liberty which must lie in the hearts of men and women? It is not the ruthless, the unbridled will; it is not freedom to do as one likes. That is the denial of liberty, and leads straight to its overthrow. A society in which men recognize no check upon their freedom soon becomes a society where freedom is the possession of only a savage few."

And a little bit of tyranny, meaning formal social control, is necessary for the survival of any community, otherwise we'd be living in a Hobbesian world of maniacs who were constantly robbing each other, slitting each other's throats, and driving up and down residential streets blaring twelve-tone music from a huge speaker in our open trunks. You want the walls of your house to shake with vibration from the bass frequencies of hexachords, do you? I thought not.

The film is propagandistic junk embodying one man's paranoid vision of how the global culture is evolving. Barack Obama is only a corporate tool who plans to turn the US over to the New World Order and have a global currency instead of good solid greenbacks.

How is this view substantiated? Well, for one thing, we hear Newt Gingrich say that it's true. For another, there is a two-second audio clip of the president saying that the Federal Reserve should have more power. How much proof do you want? A written plan (the long form, of course) of bullet points like that published by the Project for a New American Century? It's not worth further attention except from those who score high on the "paranoia" scale of the MMPI. They should find what they're looking for here. Obama's "Green Police" will be able to enter your house, rate it for energy efficiency, and make you pay for the examination. Next step: the jail house. Right.

A professionally made primer on how to slant your story to fit your agenda. The movie takes bits and pieces of speeches and conversations to make a movie filled with cries of doom and dire predictions and very little substance. The film panders to the paranoia and visceral hatred that the shrinking white majority has for anything that does not look like them. The director has never tried to hide his total right wing agenda and this is a full length feature to complement his never ending rant against THEM. This is a boring propaganda piece that makes anything Michael Moore made look like a Disney movie. I can only recommend it for the most devoted members of the Alex Jones fan club.

Watching this was pointless. There is a bunch of dodgy "experts", brainstorming on their favourite conspiracy theories. The story is incredibly thin. The reason why it appears to be complex is because of a couple of effects. One is introducing buzzwords from out of nowhere and repeating them until they sound somehow familiar and hence, less far-fetched. The other are rapid cuts, and symbolic elements such as the burning US flag/constitution, random countries (e.g., Tibet) shown in a world-map, growing plants, 19th century musketeers, human brain topography, fireworks, sport arenas, etc. These tricks are superficially related to the story, but they are suggestive, and manipulative. You look at the picture and forget about the argumentation, then you pick up a buzzword and associate it with the picture (e.g., Obama + burning US constitution = Obama is America's doom). Because the narrative is so confusing, the dull story appears sophisticated. In fact, it all boils down to the simple formula: The noble - but mindless - people are oppressed by a malicious elite, which has means to brainwash people. Same old story of populism, blunt and unimaginative.

About the interviews: Who are these guys? Where did they work? For who do they work now? What are their merits? Based on what qualifications were they selected? I don't understand why the film-makers believe that a nuclear engineer has anything profound to say about politics and/or economics! Very fishy. Same point about the commentators denying that industrialized mass production has affected the planet. Why are those guys underdogs in their fields? Maybe the logic is that overachievers are part of the elite, hence, untrustworthy. This logic is dumb, because it implies that commentators with no or minimal qualifications are ideal for explaining the world. In a documentary, this job should be done by top experts. Otherwise you'll end up with spam.

Here's the story: the US is run by an oligarchy of international corporations. Its goal is to enslave the people, take away their individuality, to crush popular democracies and mass movements, destroy the economy and to downgrade the standards of living. Pollution, overpopulation, global warming are all myths, invented by the oligarchy to cripple (!) the productivity of the people (Don't ask me why companies that value growth and profit would want to sabotage productivity). They use measures such as the carbon tax - imposed by a "global warming Gestapo" - which will eventually "dismantle the constitution". Another measure is - surprise, surprise - the mass media. Also, building sports arenas (see 1h29m). To achieve their goal, they employ science ("the dictatorship of science", see 0h17m): family planning, the Human Genome Project, abortion, IQ testing, social sciences, even physics, are all attempts to keep the people in their place - that is, below the surface. Further, the 2008 financial crisis was engineered by the oligarchy to cripple nations, and to get rid of the US dollar as lead currency. And to install a world bank (Guys, the world bank exists since 1944). Also China is behind the US financial crisis (0h20m) (How exactly?). The ultimate goal of the new world order is to bring bad things over people, for example hyperinflation. For that, the oligarchy wants to destroy the current order, in particular, the US constitution and democracy. (You will have to accept this assumption, it is not explained why oligarchs want to change a system that works for them - to me, it doesn't make sense. If you are a tyrant and want to stay in charge, avoid any change, especially if it creates civil unrest (such as inflation)). Further, Barack Obama is a puppet of the new world order and as a consequence, its employee (see 0h9m). Ok, that is the summary of the first 25 minutes. Pardon me that I don't summarize the entire 2h25m video. It's tedious to work against my internal spam filter!

Some additional comments: 0h2m: Someone says something about Obama, and you see the US constitution burn. Why? Because he suggested "prolonged detention" for crimes that have not yet been committed. What is omitted is that this - arguably controversial - praxis refers to terrorism suspects. A travel ban on muslim countries is based on the same logic. Moreover, imprisoning people who haven't yet committed crimes on US soil / against Americans is not an invention of Obama (-> Guantanamo).

0h9m: "Barack Obama is a puppet of the new world order (aka shadow government of the planet and/or the Global Government). Ok, so he is owned by the oligarchy? Here's a random interview on youtube where Obama points out the existence of an oligarchy (the NRA, funded by gun manufacturers) and in fact, attempts to turn public opinion against it.

Besides, why is Obama in the title of the video? It claims that any single individual - including US presidents - are controlled by a higher authority (the oligarchy). Accordingly, these individuals are puppets, placeholders, empty suits; people that are entirely determined have no choice, which makes them anti-heros - they cannot actively influence the story. Still, the title specifically refers to Obama. Why is he special? Or is he not?

0h20m. In 1 min, Rockefellers joking remark is repeated over and over again: "competition is a sin". They mention that it was meant as a joke, and at the same time, an "expert" suggests that it wasn't. Then the phrase is repeated a couple more times in slight variations. Guys, this is the cheapest brain wash. Repeating the same buzzwords over and over again is key to propaganda (see Victor Klemperer's LTI). It's based on the logic that Rockefeller will be remembered as condemning competition (mentioned many times), whereas people will forget about him joking (only mentioned once).

Conclusion: My favorite concluding sentence from the movie: "bla bla bla. Which tells you that is all part of the plan." Certainly a good summary for this piece of work! So if you really want to dive into a soup of dozens of loosely related (?) topics, such as the banks ("bangsters"), crooked elites, oligarchies, china, world bank, world government, political establishment, pollution (= myth), Verizon, the difference between Pepsi and Coca Cola (there is none), the US dollar, Rockefeller, ah yeah, and of course Obama ... then well, waste your time on this video. There is definitely an agenda behind it, aimed at manipulating opinions. Its motives remain unclear to me, but frankly I don't even wanna know.

But hey, good news - they do explain how you can fight the new world order (2h9mins): "have more barbecues, speak to your neighbors, spend some time with your children." Great! The solution is so simple, why didn't John Doe come up with it?

Everything in this movie is spot on, including the "green" government, set up by the world bankers to control America. "Green" taxes, trillions of dollars, sent to a bank in Switzerland controlled by the Rothschild family are discussed in this movie. Green police, who can enter your home and tax you for the number of toilet seats. It all sounds pretty bizarre until you actually realize it's part of the proposed legislation. Everything that seems scary in this movie has been drawn from facts and actual documents. The movie is about total control of the United States by a world government set up through the U.N., the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) and the Tri-Lateral Commission. I thought the movie dragged a bit in the beginning, but picked up steam a third in. The second half of the movie, it was outstanding.

The title of this documentary is spot on. Alex Jones is saying that the American republic is falling, but it really fell during Bill Clinton's presidency. As Chalmers Johnson wrote, in his Blowback trilogy, it was back then when America turned into a military empire. I used to be ignorant of Alex Jones' show but now I watch or listen to it frequently. Jones is a good entertainer, and his rants are actually something that I enjoy. His politics are in the right place too. The Western elite, with the Corporatocracy as its most important part, have taken over the politics and economics of the world. The first phase in this Third World War was the Cold War. After the defeat of the Soviet Union the second phase in the global war began. People in the West are losing their freedoms and livelihoods because of it. Good examples of this are shown in the film. And, as shown in the film, the current economic depression is one of the steps to a new world system of governance with a global distribution economy. This global economy will be about the control of goods, resources and information. In the film it's called a New World Order. In the NWO the market will be dominated by monopolies. It's entirely possible that a global currency will be introduced. Whether or not this plan of the Western elite will work we shall see. However, we are living through the steps to this global system and it's not really pleasant. In his works the economist Jacques Attali wrote that the elite will establish their rule over the world in the middle of the 21st century. The philosopher Aleksandr Zinovyev also wrote books about the Global Suprasociety. In my opinion it's a good thing that Alex Jones is putting his message out. Fall Of The Republic is sometimes crude but one has to see it because its message is crystal clear.

The fact that this director is alive proves his theories hold no basis in reality.

Great movie for any free thinkers. He takes an interesting look at recent events. While this movie draws some very crazy conclusions out of thin air it was fun to watch.

Listen for terms like oligarchy, shadow government, off shore masters, and puppet government, it is really quite funny.

I was impressed at a few of the speakers he was able to get for this movie. It makes me wonder if they had any idea what they were a part of. that is all there is to say. about that

you're a nut.....this isn't right wing, the people in this film slam both the democrats and republicans, liberals and conservatives. Now I'm not saying everything in the film is true or false, I'm sure it goes both ways and some of the ideas are just pure speculation by Alex Jones or the people that are speaking in the film. But some of the things mentioned are happening just as said.

Back in Hitler's Germany, whenever a detractor of Hitler said something that went against what Hitler was saying, Hitler's people would set the bulldogs on them and ruin their reputations and destroy their credibility so that people wouldn't even pay them attention. Obama and the democrats use the same tactics against people that don't tow the line with them. Health care reform a case in point. All kinds of bad things coming out about it now, after the vote.

As for a central bank, if you do your reading you'll find the founding fathers of the USA specifically spoke out against having a central bank because it eventually would rule the government from behind the scenes.

Global warming has all kinds of numbers of scientists that go against the so called climate warming science. But how many of those scientists do you get to hear from. They're described as crackpots because they disagree with the "norm".

What it comes down to is, you have to watch this film with a grain of salt and form your own opinions. Don't listen to me or anyone else, just take a chance and watch it for yourselves. Keep in mind, plenty of people out here see Obama as the next coming of Christ and people that get raised to the heights of cult status can get people to go along with just about anything because they say " I want this".

Alex Jones is an agent of British intelligence whose mission is to create his own monopoly in the 9/11 truth movement and wreck it from the inside. He's discrediting calls for independence with his manipulations and obnoxious behavior. Sending in deceiving and ranting characters is one of the most common ploys by the British propaganda machine. He's misleading his listeners and filling their heads with deceptions and half-truths. He's leading them into the wilderness where they act like useless conspiracy theorists instead of doing anything against the British and the financiers. He's closely linked to the British and he surrounds himself with anti-American characters. He's opposing progress and anyone who stands up for the American state. He's fooling millions of people while the financiers and the City of London are wrecking the American economy and the American state. He's ranting against a "New World Order" while in practice fully supporting the plans of the London-based oligarchy. The real fall of the republic is going to come because of people like Alex Jones and his crazy employees.

Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy were killed by British special-forces. The CIA is a branch of British intelligence. Allen Dulles worked with the British for decades. After World War II the British captured key positions in the United States and launched an information war to continue dominating the world.
