Originally written in 2014, this short was meant as a fan's answer on how to vaguely connect either of the previous Spider-Man film series to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It would pick up with Peter in his early 20's, working at his old high school; having had many adventures as Spider-Man yet still struggling with his dual identities.
The Purple burglar is The Looter, an obscure Spider-man villain from the 1960's. Created by Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko, a noted Ayn Rand enthusiast, The Looter himself is a reference to Atlas Shrugged.
Daisy Washingston's character asks Spider-Man if he eats people. A reference to Kevin Smith's work in the Spider-Man/Black Cat: The Evil that Men Do
Rumors circulate about Spider-Man's real intentions and powers. Fans will recognize this as the work of J. Jonah Jameson at the Daily Bugle.
