Considering this was made in 2004 (i.e. just before anyone with a digital camera could create some horrible indie piece of crap and post it on youtube) I would normally appreciate everything that went into this; lighting, blocking, editing, multiple camera/takes etc. But this was just plain bad. It seems even anachronistic for 2004; 1) the patrons get upset at the price of $2 coffee, which was pretty much the price of coffee back then unless you were living maybe in rural Nebraska 2) two guys beating up a girl and laughing about it for comic effect, when in reality that would have gotten them both arrested for assault...and there is nothing funny about beating on a woman 3) The entire coffee house setting appears to be a 1990's ambien-induced walking nightmare. The dialogue, acting and pretty much everything about this underscores why despite being told "wow! you're so talented! You should make a movie!" most people should not.

At the beginning, I literally thought it was going to be boring because the setting didn't really have that 'cafe' look. Then when it came on the guy Alex and the girls, it gave me that feeling that something funny was gonna happen. Which it did when the stoned guy Jim came on the scene and the actor who plays him was excellent at doing the role! I thought he is the most hilarious character throughout the film. I even liked Alex as well, its like hes giving us a message that we all should be open of our sexuality and who we are! He really showed a good example of that! Himself and Chris were the best couple I've ever seen on gay films!!

For the great manner to define romantic situations. For the smart way for use a coffee shop for a sort of Shakespeare comedy. And for performances. A short film about choices. Accidents. And bet. Charming for many reasons, one of the most easy for define being the work of Cameron Northey. And the lovely end.
