Leaving Peoria (2000) Online

First of all I was able to see this film at the Sun Valley Film Festival. It was one of the best films at the festival. I laughed and and laughed...the improve scenes were amazing. All the acting was perfectly executed and the comedic timing was excellent. Chris Duddy did excellent writing and directing. Nick Stabile was great. Jolie Fisher and Kathy Najimy were perfect!!! This film should be made into a full size film in my opinion. It was the highlight of the festival. Billy Eliott was there too and it was fabulous so for Leaving Peoria to be in that category is fantastic. I can't wait to see more coming from Chris Duddy.

For a short film, LEAVING PEORIA wasn't really short. It was 30 minutes long. The film bounces between heavy comedy and heavy drama. Maybe too quickly. The transitions were rough. The camera work and performances are good. The story is familiar. The film was good, not great, but definitely entertaining.
