Taking place around 04/04/04 over the course of four days, an abandoned car is haunted by a psychopathic killer's dead ma. Trapped in the car, the spirit of the deceased Kate Burns encounters four average Americans who each discover and use the car to their own personal gain. But Kate has other plans, namely a reunion with her son, recently escaped convict Norm Burns. The theme of karmic justice provokes the question, "What's more frightening and bizarre....the supernatural or reality?"

I saw "Carma" at a screening here in Las Vegas, and I really dug the movie. The director was present and had some interesting things to say during the Q&A session.

Apparently, the movie (at least the story of the "Car Owner") was based on real events in the director's life. Talk about a colorful life.

Speaking of colors, my favorite thing about the movie is it's use of color, an obvious allusion to the great Spaghetti Horror films ("Suspiria", "Deep Red", etc.). The soundtrack also rocked. The story challenged the audience in a Lynchian kind of way, and being the big David Lynch fan that I am, I give a big thumbs up to this movie!
