Set within a desert graveyard, a corpse sits behind a rustic old school desk, its bench-top scarred with the lines of previous victims and the scores of the victor. As the old body is buried, new prey replaces him, as the Tall Man exacts a tradition of revenge, we discover his victims are schoolteachers who whip their students. This Gothic drama follows a young Arab man, Salem, and his fate to fall in love with Hamda, newly arrived from her 'other' home, America, both have known each other since children but have not seen each other in 15 years. Surrounded by the mystery of missing school teacher, the young love-struck couple enjoys each others company under the watchful eyes of a mysterious Tall Man. Being reunited stirs conflicting feeling for the Salem, but little does either he, nor Hamda know that this love may come at the ultimate cost.
