Rin Tin tin alerts Rusty to what he thinks is an Indian coming over the stockade. It turns out to be a chimpanzee dressed in a feathered headdress. The chimp, Hercules, belongs to Dr. Dingle, a patent medicine salesman, and his daughter Daisy, a young sharpshooter, who are being chased by three very angry men. Rinty saves the Dingles from the outlaws, and they come to do a show at Ft. Apache. But when Daisy, who is sweet on Rusty, disappears during a race between the two children, they find out the three men who were chasing the Doctor are holding her hostage until he returns some pearls that were hidden in one of his bottles of medicine.There are no pearls left. The patent medicine is mostly vinegar and has dissolved the pearls..
