House of De Sade (1977) Online

I really dig these "cross-over" porn joints - especially the ones that combine elements from my favorite genre - horror. HOUSE OF DE SADE is a silly, fun, arousing, perverted XXX-"roughie" that is one of the more enjoyable of the Joe Davian entries that I've seen so far...

Vanessa Del Rio and friends have been invited to a séance at a "spooky" old house. Pre-séance activities before the "get-together" include an orgy scene featuring two couples that Del Rio also invites to the séance, and some consensual S&M-style fun between Del Rio and her boyfriend - including cucumber-insertion/peeling/eating, leash-and-collar domination, and some pretty rough anal-action. Once at the séance-site, the friends are lead to rooms by a hunchback (?!?), where they start doin' what they do best. In one strange scene, Del Rio is spackled on by a ghost (??!!??) and then seeks some sexual-solace from her pals. Eventually, everyone is lead to the séance-room, where they unleash the soul of the Marquis de Sade, and we're treated to some more pretty hot orgy scenes, and to Del Rio getting brutalized by a few of the séance-goers (including some pretty funny foam-nunchuk-ass-smacking), and the hunchback - who turns out to be a VAMPIRE!!!????!!!

HOUSE OF DE SADE is just so off-the-wall and goofy that you gotta dig it. The sex is pretty steamy, there's some decent "fetish" material, and the silly story is ridiculous and fun. Not nearly as rough as some of Davian's other films (APPOINTMENT WITH AGONY readily comes to mind...) - and I still like DOMNIATION BLUE slightly better due to it's sleazier content - but this one's chock-full-o'-sex and some funny/amusing crap mixed in. If you dig XXX-horror films like HARDGORE or FORGIVE ME - I HAVE SINNED, you'll probably get a kick out of this one...8/10

All right, I think that this might pan out better with a play by play.

But first, the plot. Some folks get an invitation to a haunted house to conduct a seance (thus, hoping to resurrect the Marquis de Sade). They have lots of sex (some of it semi-roughie).

Okay, now that we're done with the overview. A call comes into an office secretaried by the lovely Miss Del Rio. It's an invitation to a haunted house, which she shares with some fuzzy friends (via telephone) who are enjoying some playtime at the moment. Let me tell you, these folks have enough foliage (both above and below) to start an Oleander nursery in the Texas Hill Country. Anyhow, Miss Del Rio and her boss decide to celebrate by fellating in the best "Lovelace School of Hard Co*ks" fashion. They go on with some collar and chain, spanking and hair grabbing roughiness. If Vanessa's "saucers" don't make you cry out "Klaatu barada nikto", then you need to bone up on some classics immediately. Some psychedelicly scary music plays the whole time in the background.

So 26 minutes into all of their fun (edited back and forth location wise between them) and we're ready to visit the haunted house. The boss decides to stay behind as he's much too busy doing something or another. They're all shown to their quarters by a big toothed hunchback, though the house's insides look strangely more like a cheap apartment than the house's outside (that we saw previously). Okay, two minutes of that much plot showing and we're back to beddybye for two of them. Miss Del Rio is alone in her room admiring herself in the mirror when she sees something in the reflection ("what could it be"?). She opens the closet door and is showered with some love juice. She bursts into her friends' room and exclaims, "I just got c um all over me and this picture, the eyes started moving". I assure you folks, that line is verbatim.

She's then "comforted" by the other two, but we soon come to seance time. A masked Marquis de Sade appears and he disappears with old Vanessa and hunchback in tow. We then have some spanking, nun-chuck whipping, nipple clamping, etc. with our other friends finding them and joining in alongside. What seems to be Syd Barret Pink Floyd plays in the background. The Marquis de Sade is then unmasked and.........Oh sorry. No spoiler shockers from me here.

Bottom line is that this should be seen since it is a classic porno (with a classic star) and it provided some pretty fun entertainment on a Monday afternoon.

My copy of this film-under the title "Sex Seance"-runs 54 minutes.It's a hard core porno/horror about some sex crazed people,who decide to unleash the spirit of Marquis De Sade.The plot is mainly an excuse to show as many hard core sex scenes as possible.There's S&M,oral sex,anal sex,hard core orgies,bondage and anal abuse.I guess Marquis De Sade would love this one.The sex is the dominating element of the film,and rest assured,it's quite heavy stuff.However,it all becomes a little much and the fast-forward button becomes highly useful sometimes.When approaching Avon-inspired roughies of the 70s,"House of De Sade" is an interesting porno horror but is far from great.So if you like porn with a sprinkle of horror give this obscure film a look.

A group of friends decide to spend the night at a creepy old rundown house. They hold a seance that unleashes the evil spirit of De Sade. All kinds of debauched carnal activities immediately follow thereafter.

Director Joe Davian maintains a delightfully loopy anything-goes depraved atmosphere throughout and keeps the warped story moving along at a continual brisk pace. The gals in the cast are real pretty, all natural, and hairy where it counts most, with the ever-luscious Latino Vanessa del Rio in especially scorching form as she happily proves that she's down for anything and everything. The eclectic array of sexual acts are quite raunchy and energetic: We've got group couplings, S&M fetish domination, some serious cucumber loving complete with peeling and eating of said cucumber, cream facials, sodomy, fellatio, cunnilingus, nipple clamps, and, best of all, a hunchbacked pervert spanks del Rio's awesomely chunky posterior with a pair of nunchucks. The amazing soundtrack of groovy prog-rock songs hits the right-on funky spot. A sleazy off-the-wall marvel.

Rather bizarre porno has a group of swingers and S&M perverts heading to an old house where they hope to use a seance to bring back the ghost of De Sade. You know, he too was a pervert so why not bring him back for some fun?

HOUSE OF DE SADE is a rather bizarre film that clocks in a few minutes shy of one hour. The main draw here is going to be Vanessa deL Rio (whose name is misspelled in the credits) as she has gained a big cult following over the years. She's certainly the star here as she takes place in the majority of the sex scenes and takes quite a bit of abuse. There's also a scene with her, a cucumber and a peeler, which is probably going to be the highlight for most people. The "old dark house" setting really doesn't add too much to the film and the horror elements are rather small.
