48 Hours examines the wrongful conviction of Frank O'Connell who was sent to prison for twenty-seven years for the murder of Jay French. Frank never admits guilt and convinces lawyers from Centurion Ministries to assist him. They discover that the case was based completely on eyewitness testimony and that the police may have pressured witnesses into claiming that they were more certain about their testimony than they were.
