While the two other reviews on this episode talk about how disturbing this episode is, I thought it was funny. The entire series is about recovering alcoholics, finding sobriety and handling every day challenges. Some of those challenges are things most of us may never experience and others are very relatable, such as smoking marijuana in bed, or teen pregnancy. While this is a comedic show, there are very real truths in it. I love the entire series and this episode was great.

I do like this program but I was also very disturbed with this episode. The fellow steals a fire truck while drunk and the mother and daughter return it - with no repercussions of any kind. This is a chargeable crime for all parties involved! Then the scene where the fellow is smoking a bong was presented as it is no big deal to use marijuana even though it is illegal in most states - and there was no indication it was medicinal. The drug problem in this country is out of control. To have a comedy depict that these actions are okay (under the guise he has an addiction which makes his actions excusable) is something I would not want my grandchildren to watch.

I don't usually watch this program but I just had my TV on CBS last night and just caught a glimpse of a guy smoking a bong...what kind of message are we sending to our kids and teens, I think drug use scenes are an awful way of entertaining America...it is bad enough that sex scenes are all over TV but drug use just makes me mad...and it is on prime-time TV...what are you all thinking!!! Drug use is illegal and I certainly do not want that influence on my kids, even if you are just making fun of a party scene...it is still an influence that you are setting up for kids that are watching or just passing through a room that has this show on or like I did, I just turned on my T.V. last night and THERE IS WAS...for all to see. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what he was doing sitting there in a bed smoking a bong...I just don't know what writers are thinking on putting this stuff on regular T.V. that is airing during a time when kids are awake.
