"The Monster": Police are convinced they have caught the rapist/murderer of an elderly woman, even after DNA evidence is exculpatory. They keep him in custody until an identical incident occurs. Later, the culprit is caught in the act of attacking a teen and brought to justice on several cases shown to have the same DNA. "A Cousin's Promise": Twenty-one years after her cousin's death, Cheryl Cowans prods Reynoldsburg, Ohio to reopen the case. Once again, DNA appears to link the victim and murderer, but legal maneuvering puts him in prison for only five years.

After coming to America we settled in a small town in Wisconsin. My childhood friend was Luther Lonetree who is featured in this film. I hadn't seen him for many years so when I saw him in this episode I just about fell out of my chair. I called the Fort Smith Police Department and spoke with him. What a thrill. Luther and I have stayed in touch since then. He is FBI Academy trained and developed a finger print process that had never been done before. You can read about it here:

This program was extremely well done since it shows how a CSI investigator works to catch perpetrators. But of course I'm biased since he is my friend.
