The whole series revolve around four main characters(Nabeel,Mehmood,Mumtaz(momo) and Khoobsurat).Both men are jobless and too lazy.Their wives are obsessed with their behaviour.In every episode,they find themselves in a new trouble and try to deal with it in their own way.

In the series' sophomore year, Bulbulay achieved 8.0 TRPs and became the highest rated comedy series of Pakistan.
Bulbulay won the Best Sitcom Award for three years in a row in 2010, 2011 and 2012 on Pakistan Media Awards.
Due to its high popularity, the series was also aired in the UK and India.
The series became such a huge hit that its main competitor, Nadaaniyaan, lost most of it's viewership and had to go off-air. .. Well ,"Naadaniya" is more better
The characters break the fourth-wall quite frequently.
