This episode almost resembles the pilot episode for the series Blacke's Magic.
This was the second remake of this episode...it was first done on the original Burke's Law as Who Killed Merlin the Great? Two decades later, writers Richard Levinson and William Link dusted off this script, and with a lot of padding, it became the two-hour pilot for their short-lived series Blacke's Magic.
If you watched the old Burke's law in black and white, then you should remember this episode.
