The Street Where You Live (2011) Online
Inspired by ceramic artist Sarah Gross' installation of the same name, 'The Street Where You Live,' depicts an artist looking for inspiration. The artist is both tantalized and blocked by the illusions he sees as glimpses through a ceramic screen. This screen blurs the boundary between public and private, transforming the space, person, and objects on the other side. Moments are captured and people are eroticised through the act of watching - obsessing, falling in love, feeling lust, being repulsed, reacting with fear - every day occurrences in 'The Street Where You Live.'
