High on their recent invitation to join the reputable Accelerator run by George Murchison, the boys settle into the city with big dreams. That swagger is soon quelled by the reality of their competition within Velocity; they need momentum and they need it fast. Trey spots an opportunity in tech journalist Jordan Alexis, ignoring both Hobbes' warning of her anti-Midas touch and Lisa's mandate to lay low. Blinded by his own ambition, Trey gives Jordan just the dirty secret she's after, and then must enlist the help of Mikki and the guys to spin the story she weaves into a successful launch of the BRB beta.

The 'Kick ass, chew bubblegum' wall of the Accelerator was inspired by the 1988 movie 'They Live' which follows a man who finds a pair of sunglasses which lets him see that aliens are disguised as humans, and discovers hidden subliminal messages everywhere.

The 'crazy dude' in the headdress ad-libbed his ranting.

The 'Work is Over' mural in Accelerator was created by ThankyouX, another LA street artist.

Murch's monologue about the Grateful Dead and the Summer of Love was loosely inspired by Ed Begley Jr.'s real-life experiences with The Eagles in the sixties.

Charlie Saxton requested to wear his own personal unitard for his Founder’s Video scenes.

The name Ray Katzweil is a nod to futurist Ray Kurzweil, the resident expert of technological singularity.

The inspiration for Hobbes' discovery of his cat in the freezer was derived from an actual company: Perpetual Pets, which offers animal preservation through freeze dry technology.

Multiple original tattoos were created for Brenda. Here you can see the origami crane from Бегущий по лезвию (1982) on her back. Not visible: the binary code translation of "disaster."

The light blue 'At least I have chicken' shirt that Hobbes is wearing was designed by the brother of Co-Creator Josh Stoddard.

Natasha Leggero and the Props Assistant are both are extremely allergic to cats, which made for a rough photo shoot of Brenda and Ray Katzweil.

The living Ray Katzweil belongs to the woman who owns the house that is Brenda's apartment.
