This movie goes into to depth on the very tales we grew up hearing but they take the Disney spin away to make it modernized and in some sense practical. The all star cast features new comers along with veterans. It is a movie to give values and to be able to make believe. Although since Disney did not make this film view it before and check of you think it's suitable. This is truer to the original story lines of these classics and contain the scary parts more then the happily ever after. This was originally intended to be part of a trilogy but due to NBC and there declining ratings and the amount of money this film cost they were unable to ever start production on a second. All around this film was excellent and I had hoped for sequels but who knows it may come up in the future.

I particularly liked how modern-day people were integrated with the fairy tale kingdom. The wolf man and the dog-prince (and prince-dog) were well conceived characterizations. Computer-generated effects made many magical moments seem real.

I saw the whole series in one piece, 7 hours of laughter, wonder, awe and excitement!! This is without doubt a trip down memory lane, remembering how it was when you where a kid and your parents read you stories, how they became real.. This movie was simply captivating! I couldn't tear my eyes of the screen, I felt so like a child again, hooting, laughing, clapping my hands, open mouth and big eyes and, and..I just can't find enough words to say how much I loved this film, I want to see it again, now! The whole series in one piece, no breaks! :-) If you like fantasy, this is the movie for you :-)

I absolutely adored the movie and plan to begin reading the series. It had a perfect blend of fantasy, romance, comedy, suspense, and action (though not quite as much action as many movies out there). I literally laughed and cried, screamed at the characters, etc. It is the best movie I have seen in a while, the multiple DVDs I watched took no time at all to me and I was desperate to see more when we had to stop for meals. I never got tired, and though its ending left a bit of a cliff hanger it was pretty well wrapped up. It was like a combination of the fantasy stories I was raised on, but the comedy, suspense, romance, alright everything was raised a notch and I was able to enjoy the genre of fairy tales once more. Unlike most movies where I cant help but ask 'When is this going to end?' this one did not drag on. It was also fun seeing objects and characters from fairy tales I remember appear.

I just bought the DVD, and watched all 7 hours in a row! I love this! It is better than most movies. Everything is just perfect. It has Action, adventure, romance, mystery, drama, emotionaly charged scenes.

It is the story of a girl named Virginia and her life changes when she is whisped away to the Fairy land of the 9 Kingdoms. She has gone with her father. They were brought to this magical world my a magic mirror. An evil queen has been let lose and she turned the prince of the land into a dog. Virginia and her father are helping him return. Also (my favorite character)is Wolf. He is a man-wolf who is in love with Virginia.

EVERYONE WHO LIKES TO WATCH MOVIES WILL LOVE THIS!! I'm not joking. It is really that good. So, go buy the DVD. It should be at any video store at a cut price. A real 10 of 10!

in these film the central actor is Scott Cohen with his character, wolf. i like very much wolf because these is my name too. i like wolves a lot and i study them since i'm 10. the film has a beautiful story, with all the fairy tales i know and i just love them. the actors are wonderful i like Virginia and her father, the hunter is grate but the best is wolf- he is an inspiration for me. is so real! i like the dog too. i know that is hard to work with the animals in a film but everybody did a grate job and we can see that.i like very much the part with the forest where Virginia and her father eat mushrooms and drink water. they almost dye but wolf is coming to save them. is so cool these part- i just love it. don't you?

in the end i want to say that the trolls are very well done too they are nice and bad too.

We just watched "The 10th Kingdom" again. We throughly love this movie and wondering if there is going to be a sequel to it. If so, when? It should have the same people playing the same characters. A very believable and enchanting movie. I fell in love with "Wolf", he is such a cu-tie. He and Virginia make a very cute couple. I thought it was clever to have them fall in love and possibly get married. Then she will be called "Virginia Wolf". The scenery was absolutely breath taking! While watching the movie, we actually felt like we were there with them, like we were a part of the movie. You just get caught up in it. It's a movie that we will keep and pass down to future generations. I do have another question however. At the Coronation, the naked person with white feathers hiding that fact...was introduced as "Ole' King Cole". In the fairy tales, it was the "Emporers New Clothes". Did we not hear it right? Thank you for sharing any thoughts or answers.

I can't think of just one word to describe the movie. It was exciting, funny, and romantic. I liked how all the old fairy tales were entwined into it. The cast was great. I can't wait to see the next episode come back on.

This was such a good movie. It has a story that draws you in and you don't ever want to leave. All the fairy tale references are wonderful, and it's not for kids. That's nice. I bought the dvd, and I can enjoy it over and over. It's like an escape from reality. It never gets old.

Nifty concept, excellent art direction, unique cast. Distinctions for Scott Cohen as "Wolf." Sweet romantic plotline intertwines a quest theme. At ten hours though, I would have liked a bit more bang for the bucks, with a deeper, more coherent script.

A wonderful movie, with all the fairy tales I remember reading as a child, woven into a superb epic, the performances by the main characters make the magic work for me, 7 hours of complete entertainment that I've watched 3 times since buying the dvd a week ago.

I loved the 10th Kingdom. I just adored it. I want to buy the book and continue with the story but I think it would be better if they made it into another mini series. I just can't stop watching it. I loved Scott Cohen as Wolf, someone needs to tell him that he fit the part perfectly and that he did an excellent job.

I love the 10th Kingdom. Exciting, and wonderful love story! Me and my boyfriend watch every part. But I want to see more! At the end Virginia stated that it was the end of book "one" will there be more books? Will the series continue? I hope so!! I would love to see the series continue with Wolf and Virginia and their new baby! Please continue the fairy tale!

The Tenth Kingdom is a wonderfully written and directed movie! I especially liked Scott Cohen (Wolf)! He is an excellent actor and very good looking! I'm now on my 7th or 8th time watching this 7 hour movie! NBC has put out quite a lot of good movies, but this one is the best by far. The chemistry between the characters in this movie was fantastic and if NBC decides to try out a sequel, I definitely hope they keep the same people on. I really enjoyed Kimberly Williams, John Larroquette, Diane Wiest, and of course, the dashing Scott Cohen! I think that if NBC doesn't make a sequel they should air this movie again, and promote it more with commercials and such! If any of you haven't seen this movie yet, I highly recommend this one, it is worth spending 7 hours in front of the television!!!!!!!

I know it has been a long time since the last episode of The 10th Kingdom aired. However, I wanted to comment. The costumes and scenery were gorgeous. My favourite thing about the film was the fabulous chemistry between Scott Cohen (Wolf), Kimberly Williams (Virginia), and John Larroquette (Tony). I think Scott Cohen is an absolute BABE! I hope to see more performances from him in the future. I loved the way the film seemed to connect to all the people who watched it. Thank you NBC for taking us all to a place called The 10th Kingdom.

I thought this movie was brilliantly done. The special effects were wonderful and Diane Wiest was wonderful as the Evil Queen. The plot was wonderful and I loved how it thickened throughout the movie! It is every fairy tale all rolled into one. If you loved fairy tales as a child, then this is the movie for you. It has a great ending. I especially loved the ring! =) See it! I highly recommend it!

Wolf was definitely my favorite character in the movie and nobody would have played him better than Scott Cohen! He totally made the movie worth it. The trolls were kind of hokey, but necessary to the plot. After watching the first night, I couldn't wait for the rest! By the time the last episode came I was totally into the characters, and couldn't wait to see how it ended!

After watching the first three parts of The 10th Kingdom, I can't wait till the next two. I love the whole plot that contains romance, suspence, and humour. The costumes and makeup make this mini series delightful to watch. I especially like the character Wolf played by Scott Cohen. His performance is what keeps me watching the story. The 10th Kingdom should receive an award for something. I can't wait for the ending.

I watched part of the first part of this movie, and tiny little bits of other parts. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't think this movie is really worth watching. The odd characters and happenings does catch your attention and is rather interesting, but there are bad things in it as well, and some gross things. The magic and mythical side of it turned me off, and for most Christians this movie would not be very suitable or worthwhile to watch.

This is a great movie. I loved it soo much. i am soo into fairy tales and this one took my heart. I loved the fact that Virgina and the wolf ended up together. I wish that there was a way that i could go to another world through a mirror. i wish NBC would show this movie again i loved it. I want my kids to see this when i have them. i hope there is another movie. PLEASE????!!!???!!!

Okay. I enjoyed this mini-series very much. But I thought for the length that they played it, it should have been on every night until the story was told. Also I have one question. If Prince Wendell was Snow White's grandson, whatever happen to Wnedell's mother and father. That point was never explained. Was Cinderella suppose to be his mother? Maybe I missed something.

I did see this documentary on the making of 10th Kingdom, but I'm going to review both this and the actual product, as so many people have reviewed the miniseries that I might as well write it here. The Making of an Epic was okay, I saw it at 3 in the morning, so I was pretty much out of it.

On the 10th Kingdom: Positive: Kimberly Williams is the most adorable actress, and I absolutely love her. John Larroquette is a brilliant sarcastic character actor (but if you watch him on Night Court on A&E you already know that); Rutger Hauer, Warwick Davis, Jimmy Nail (you rock!), Camryn Manheim, and others were welcome presences, Dianne Wiest is a creepy villain, the settings were gorgeous, and Daniel Lapaine is a hottie (love that grin when he comes out to be coronated!). And, of course, special thanks to Scott Cohen for his hyper and creative portrayal of Wolf. I really hope his career gets a boost.

Negative: THE TROLLS SUCKED! Am I the only one who noticed this? They were awful! And the purpose of special effects is not for us to feel like we're being attacked by fluttering hearts and singing rings! ENOUGH!

So, overall, very nicely done. The first episode was GREAT, the second was almost as good, the third one was great just for Wolf, the fourth one stunk, and the fifth one wrapped it all up very nicely. But do we need to be told there's ANOTHER ten hours possibly on the way?
