'Lumpatious' was part of Nickelodeon's 'Gotta Spot It Saturday' interactive promotion on January 11th, 2014, in where there was wacky, out of place, and funny stuff hidden inside the 3 episodes that premiered that night (from Sam & Cat, The Thundermans, and The Haunted Hathaways), and viewers had to find & identify all the silly hidden stuff, and then finally play an interactive game online that would enter them in a contest to get a small part on a Nick show. In #Lumpatious, a wacky new character (portrayed by actor Allen Waiserman) is hidden throughout the episode, wearing round glasses, a funny hat, and jester costume. He is hidden in this episode 15 times as part of Nick's Gotta Spot It Saturday event/contest. His name is Weirdo, as revealed in The Lil' Sam & Cat Show #Lumpatious webisode, in the segment titled "Where's Weirdo?".

The word "Lumpacious" previously made an appearance in the last episode of Victorious, Victorious: Victori-Yes (2013), as Beck's emotion attached to his between-scenes tweet.

Cat is oddly mean to Dice in this episode.

This is the second Schneiders Bakery show to have a character named Jasper the first being Henry Danger.

The Governer of New Jersey referenced in this episode is a parody of Chris Christie.
