Wally (Jack Riley) and his wife Vera (Susan Silo, returning to the role after being replaced for an episode) have wheedled their way into joining Mr. Brahms (Jack Collins) at a supermarket managers convention in Dayton. Their boss is giving a $500 bonus to help land Haver's Havenly Market's big supermarket account. Peter (Michael Callan) talks Mr. Brahms into inviting him and Greta (Patricia Harty). Persuaded by $100 of the potential bonus, Greta reluctantly goes to Dayton. She grew up in Dayton where her family still lives and is afraid of the "occasional wife" routine being uncovered. She quickly runs into the family pastor Parson Perkins (C. Lindsay Workman) who becomes suspicious.
