The Spirits gang is feeling uninspired. That is until Stella (Kate Trotter) announces that this year their floor has been chosen to attend the annual liquor brokerage conference in Hamilton. All expenses paid! While checking in, Jane (Teresa Pavlinek) meets Richard (Graham Abbey). At a boring seminar, Jane sees Richard again. While Jane and Richard giggle at the back of the room like bratty teenagers, Jane starts to understand the fun of a conference fling. Everyone seems to be having one. No pressure. No strings. That is until Richard asks Jane to marry him in front of the entire Spirits gang. Jane is completely overwhelmed. She agrees to spend a day in Hamilton "getting to know" Richard. At the closing banquet of the conference an improve troupe performs some comedy for the brokers. One of them asks Jane to tell everyone something her co-workers don't know about her. Jane looks at Richard and blurts out, "I'm getting married!" Walton (Darren Boyd) faints.
