There were talks about a sequel called "Müll - Biological Waste", which changed the location of the movie into the city and introduced the survivors of the first movie as having totally lost it. One decided to stay in the woods and rebuild his friends in a Frankenstein-kind-of-way and the other went back to the city, trying to keep the town clean (which does not work and eventually drives her mad). But producer, director and writer Jungwirth Oliver of the first movie decided that the storyline was not fun enough to pursue it further.

There is an animation sequence at the beginning of the movie which was made by Creative Turtle and it servers two purposes: First One: The producers wanted to show that they did all the other effects on purpose (in a bad way) and second: Because of many changes in the script in cause of logistical problems at the end of shooting director Jungwirth Oliver noticed that one scene was missing during which the characters got from the house into the woods. So he decided that this part of the story could be told animated. Which was a nice idea anyway.

At the end of the credits there is a "thank you Roger Corman" part, where the producer/director addresses Roger Corman to thank him for inspiring him and thanking him for making such awesome movies.

The idea for the movie came to Oliver Jungwirth while watching a movie called "Alien Incursion" (he watched it only because Samantha McLeod is in it - there are far too few movies with her) and he thought: "Why are there no trash-movies with a monster made of trash". So ... he decided to make one.

Most of the actors never played in a movie before - but they did an excellent job anyway and if you're a fan of "b-movies" (like Sharktopus) you'll see that they are actually pretty good.
