Annie, meanwhile, gets saved from being pulled through the door by Sykes, a young R.A.F. pilot who died in World War Two and who is scared to pass over for fear of meeting the men he believes he killed. Mitchell (Aidan Turner) says that Ivan (Paul Rhys) is one of the old ones. The Old Ones is what the first (and oldest) vampires are called in this universe. Hal (Damien Molony) (a character introduced in season 4) is considered an Old One because he is over 500 years old. Ivan, however, is only 237 so it makes you wonder just how old a vampire has to be to be considered an "Old One."

The title is a reference to the 1983 film Rita will es endlich wissen (1983) starring Michael Caine and Julie Walters.

After George (Russell Tovey)'s rage at his food not being eaten Annie (Lenora Crichlow) responds "Wow! Clearly someone has been watching too much Gordon Ramsay!". Gordon Ramsay is a British TV chef who is known for his expletive-filled rages at his junior chefs.
