Most people never read those small stories buried in the middle of a newspaper, unless they have a personal connection or they become the story themselves. Young husband and father, Alex Ramos, dreams of being signed to a lucrative publishing contract. Stressed over money and a job he can't stand, Alex has a moment of clarity in which he realizes he's been neglecting his family. When a major business deal falls through, he gives up, quits his job, and considers drinking again after 5 years of sobriety. Then a publisher calls, offering Alex an opportunity. He rushes off to tell his family, but never makes it. Instead, Alex becomes one of those small stories buried in the middle of the newspaper that people never read.
