Sue sings "Little Girls" on the bleachers which is a song from the musical "Annie" sung by the character Miss Hannigan. Jane Lynch made her Broadway debut as Miss Hannigan in the May of 2013.
According to co-creator Ryan Murphy, Sarah Jessica Parker was personally involved in the making of the 'At the ballet' number.
Blake Jenner performed the song, "Everybody Hurts" as part of the reality show, "The Glee Project" before this episode.
Jane Lynch sang "Little Girls" from Annie in this episode. Carol Burnett, who previously played Lynch's mother in Glee, also sang this song in Annie.
