Singer Mariah Carey provides the voice of her older self in this animated family Christmas movie

I appreciated the fact that the movie really was G, which was surprising for me considering Mariah's innuendo singing videos.

The singing was pretty decent, no real highs or lows, but all in all a good listen.

The voice dubbing left something to be desired, U have a woman born in 1970 dubbing about a pre-teen character, and it doesn't really work. I think Mariah needed someone giving her some constructive criticism in this instead of a bunch of kiss ups giving her feed back. Fred Astaire did the narrating and singing in 'Santa clause is comin to town', and dubbed an older character, to make a point.

I really liked how the script kept the focus on the dog plot, as a lot of advertised dog movies are not in reality focused on a dog, but rather the dog ends up being in more of a sub plot within the movie. Not so in this one. Of course it is an animation, so this is not a perfect comparison.

I can recommend this movie for kids, it focuses on puppies and a child's interaction with her parents (yep, a Christmas video movie in which a child has both a Dad and Mom). The movie in of itself is not any kind of classic, but it is a serviceable G family Christmas watch, younger kids may like it quite a bit.

Children and child at heart will love this movie. I enjoyed it! I am not sure why the reviews on this receive such a big BOO! from some people and my guessing is because of Mariah Carry. People need to get over who made it. The story to this movie is typical , it had it sad moments , and had a good ending. The star of this show is the puppy. It is really a cute story.

Forget the few bah humbug reviews. You know reviews will always be bias towards the negative side since Mariah is involved. What the heck do kids know about the quality of the cartoon, the quality of Mariah's music, etc. It's a basic story that every children can relate to, and if they're glued to the screen, what more can you ask for?

This was adorable. It was very family friendly and I love that they used a mixed race family. This is almost something I could see watching every year as it has such a good message. Pet ownership is a serious responsibility and I love that they showed that experience. I got very emotional during the pet shop scene when the little boy called the little white dog rascal and thought he was gonna have to leave her. So cute and touching.

The graphics were so clear and beautiful. This film really helps you get in the Christmas spirit.

The only complaints I have is the over the top touches that were obviously put in there as a nod to Mariah Carey. The too perfect hair and constant references to how fashionable she is. It really wasn't necessary and took me out of the film at times.

Also I never noticed before that Mariah Carey has a slight speech impediment. After I heard her voiceover a few times it became very distracting. Something about how she says her "S's" is slightly like a lisp. It kind of reminded me of how the actress Debi Mazar speaks.

Another issue that bothered me was - what household leaves a window wide open with no screen no less during the dead of winter?! That was kind of ridiculous. Also most responsible homeowners check the doors and windows before going to bed so that was kind of silly that the door would have been left open all night.

Lastly I felt the ending should have ended with Mariah embracing Jack in some way. The film is about them so for him to be in the house separate from the rest of them seemed like an odd way to end the movie. The ending was a little bland BUT I am looking at it from an adult's viewpoint. This is geared towards young children so they wouldn't be aware of these issues.

Lacey Chabert provided the voiceover for the Mom in this film. She came to fame through the television series Party of Five followed by the big screen film Mean Girls. In the last several years it seems she has found religion because she stepped away from mainstream films and has been doing Christian based movies and family friendly films and voiceovers. It's a curious transition to me but I'm glad that she has been able to continue to find work if she has indeed found religion. I felt she was very annoying in Party of Five but I've found that the projects she has done in the last few years have made her more tolerable to watch onscreen.

Overall this was very well done and I highly recommend this family friendly film.

We were looking for something that none of is had seen, and when this came up, we all uttered a collective, "hmm..." and decided to go with it anyway. My wife and I really enjoyed it as did our 2 young daughters. it's a sweet, innocent cute Christmas movie. Definitely worth the watch.

Hands down this is the cutest movie. It's heartwarming, charming, and funny. Loved the grandpa! And the little girl Mariah was so delicious. What a gift. Thank you to all who was involved in making this little gem.

In 2015 I told Mariah Carey on Twitter that she make her children's book "All I Want for Christmas is You" (the one this movie was based off of) into a movie

Do not let your kids watch this movie. I never write reviews, but this movie particularly frustrated and disgusted me enough to write a review. This is about a spoiled brat who lies, cheats, steals, name calls, manipulates, trespasses, and is downright rude. She stomps around the whole movie, grumpy as can be. Eventually, she gets exactly what she wants, surprise surprise. AWFUL. I wanted to turn it off 30 minutes in.

This movie is absolutely terrible. I disliked it in many ways. The animation style is lazy, and boring. The girl doesn't even let her dog halfway in the movie have proper care. I don't even want to see it.

Dont waste your time. I have 2 toddlers and they were just as annoyed as I was. Lifeless narrating throughout the whole movie. I could not get into the movie because of it.

Sure it is the most of basic of Christmas "I want a puppy tales" but the total lack of soul in this thing is instantly off-putting... the animation includes the most flat and lifeless I rendering I have seen in anything since early, I mean really early nintendo. The pack terrible story around Mariah Carey songs is so boring and lifeless. Surely this is for the youngest of kids, but it reads like a Mariah I wish I was Disney Princess fodder... Shallow... at least in the live action versions of these tales the puppies are cute... not so here. This would be interesting only if the puppy in the story was replaced with a live, digitally inserted Nick Canon... otherwise, only purchase this thing if you plan on leaving the room... I made it about twenty minutes because it showed up on Amazon Prime and I did one of those, "How bad can this be?" quests. I love bad movies but this is so bad its not even fun to make fun of...
