Slick-talking press agent Jack Connors ("The Human Joke Machine" Morey Amsterdam, "The Dick Van Dyke Show") has earned a reputation for believably building people up way more than they actually are. The ladies decide to talk him into doing the same for them to find rich husbands. They dine at his hangout Club 94 where he's eventually talked into trying to help the girls. He suggests an extremely wealthy Latin American named Emile Braganza (Gil Frye) who will be the guest of honor at a dinner party held the following night at Club 94 by socialite Miss Larrimore (Gladys Hurlbut). Jack devises a way for Miss Larrimore to invite them to her table by dropping names of how important Middle European sisters they are. (Hello Gabors!) He calls them the Zadania Sisters: Lala, Mala, and Schmala. He agrees to set it up and if they land the rich man he'll take a cut. Everything has been arranged to perfection, expect Loco's inability to master an accent. They make her appear as if she understands no English, which allows her to make a startling discovery.

The plot is pretty engaging, but I was expecting the writers to give more to the great Morey Amsterdam than a quasi-serious character who disappeared in the second half.

Before her iconic-making role in "I Dream of Jeannie", Barbara Eden was one of three stars in the TV version of "How to Marry a Millionaire" as Loco Jones. The other two were Lori Nelson as Greta Hanson and Merry Anders as Mike McCall. They're three women trying to catch someone very rich to wed. In this one, they get an agent named Jack Connors played by Morey Amsterdam to get them an invite to a Latin American tycoon's table at a posh restaurant. I'll stop there and just say that it took a while but I liked some of the witty lines especially those by the scatterbrained Loco who keeps mixing her languages and then has to say "No speak English" to keep from getting more suspicions coming to her! I also liked Amsterdam's little dig at Lorreta Lynn when he mentioned a "coal miner's daughter". This was a nice intro to me of this now-obscure series that I just watched on YouTube. I may see a few more eps in the coming days...
