Venus, is an adaptation of La Maladie de la Mort by Marguerite Duras combined with the life of the serial killer from the 70s, Charles Sobhraj whose first known female victim was in Thailand. Charles meets the girl, who he offered for her to come over and stay with him in a hotel room. Through the sex and sensibility of a woman, he rediscovers the pain he felt in his past. Finally, he is forced to face the truth and make a decision on whether he will conform to the emotional disease he has rediscovered, or move on from it.This short has expanded to be a feature film. (in the process of writing a screenplay called Thin Air) The challenge of the project is that there have been many movies and TV adaptations in the past but none of them look at the killers deep in his soul and go through a relationship with his victims.
