Anne Watanabe plays Yoriko, an economics expert who works as a public officer, and who has never dated anyone and has no interest in men at all. But she hears her father talking about the promise he did to her deceased mother about getting her married, and decides to find a partner through a dating agency. Hiroki Hasegawa is Takumi, a "neet" who has not left his room full of manga and books for a long time, and whose mother is worried and tired of having him home without doing anything. He decides to join the dating agency too after a friend pushes him to do so. They find each other's information.

And they go on a date.

This first episode centers on presenting the characters through this first date and what happened before that made them take this step. Hasegawa does a good job as the neet who just doesn't like relationships and hates being put in a position of weakness, but the always great Anne Watanabe, puts her comedic chops to great use, from her really creepy duck face, to her robotic tone voice.

The originality resides in that the two characters are outcasts in their society who don't really want to marry, but that have their own reasons to find a partner in life. In this first episode, the show does a great job of introducing their motives and the basics of their relationship, while keeping it fresh and funny. On the other hand, it is pretty easy to see that this is going to be the million-times- told story of a couple falling in love after getting to know each other. Worth watching.
