I think RD is in stalemate right now. Lots of things seem to happen (lots of murders, new characters like the Texan or Dmitri or Butch etc. etc.) but everything fades too quickly. Their treatment is all superficial. Like today's episode "Lake Hollywood" which looks and feels like a "filler" episode, especially if you be counting-in scenes like Abbie's "Layla" segment.

There are numerous plot holes here too, but I wont bother you with these since many members have pointed them out in the boards.

I think no one really cares about all the "drama" in Ray Donovan. Is there any viewer who gives a dime about Mickey's black singer's death? About Abby's cancer? About Bunch's wife? About Bridget's teacher? About Connor's addiction with guns and violence? About Terry's new flame?

The Writers are too blame. They jumped too many sharks. They just filling pages in their computers. No inspiration, no substance. They follow a norm that goes nowhere: Present an unbelievable situation and throw impossible to overcome obstacles every 10 minutes that will be ...resolved instantly and in a magical (read ridiculous or implausible) way. And it happened to a lot of good shows with potential like Suits.

Good TV bleeds.

Greetings from Lithuania.

I absolutely love "Ray Donovan" Season 4 so far, with only two episodes left. I'm so glad they finally didn't forget main plot line from previous season, and here its on its best. There are also some side plots as usual, and while i enjoying them all, maybe the whole side plot of Bunchy's "crazy" wife is a bit off, it is not a bad thing, but overall pacing suffers from it i think. Nevertheless, season 4 as a whole is just great.

If you have enjoyed previous seasons so far, season 4 is not to be missed for sure.

You either like Ray Donovan, the TV series, or you don't. You cannot be half-pregnant so you cannot take bits of RD and like it and not others. The whole series is the show: NOT sections. Ray gets things done. He does it his way and succeeds 80% of the time -- just like real life. Things do not work out to plan, but that is the appeal of Ray Donovan. If he was always right, you would get bored. Ray is HUMAN; he makes mistakes, like the rest of us humans. Ray has to rely on others -- who let him down! Welcome to the real world!Everybody is let down by someone else! But: when Ray takes command and sets the record straight; or rights wrongs, there is no "Teflon Ray": you get the real thing! That's the appeal of Ray Donovan: hard hitting, no nonsense, take no prisoners, Ray! Want it fixed? Call Ray! He gets the job DONE!
