Several physical stunts were written into the script shortly before filming. One of the lead actors, a professional wrestler, was supposed to throw the other lead male into a wall. The throw was overzealous, and put a large crack in the wall.

The director had previously hired a different cinematographer to be the Director of Photography, but the DP had to bow out of the production before filming. The director scrambled to find a replacement, and managed to hire a new DP through a referral in the local theatre scene.

The character of Ahriman was later utilized in another horror piece by Lokean Productions, filmed in Rochester, New York.

Bismarck State College, the filming location for Ahriman, employed the director for a time as a set constructor in its theatre department. He also played three roles and worked as stunt coordinator in the theatre production.

This film had many amateur mistakes. Besides a lack of shot continuity throughout the opening scene there was not much time put into the photography. White balancing is imperative with digital cameras and fluorescent lighting and whoever was the director of photography did not make those adjustments for all the indoor shots. Aside from the lack of professional looking photography the writing was terrible. Dialogue didn't flow or even seem logical in its progression. The acting and post production seemed to have no decent amount of time put into it and looked terrible blood spatter looked atrocious. There are plenty of other ways to waste 20 minutes of your life.

I loved the morality play aspect of the piece. It played like a good episode of Tales From The Crypt. The moral of the story has that wise yet nasty bite that makes this type of film work so well.

Since this company is best known for comedic pieces, I was intrigued to find out of they would be able to handle a serious drama.

I was pleased to discover, that indeed they can.

It is apparent this is early work of those involved, paving the way for future projects to come, so any mistakes made are certainly forgivable. No one makes a gem their first time. This evidences they have made great strides since their first endeavor.

This company is off to a good start. Eagerly awaiting what's next.
