I've been waiting so long for a new Jorge Molina feature! His most recent cinematic aberration is not disapointing at all, but it needs (like his other films) more than one view to apretiate it well. It is, as you can spect, a mix of raw erotism, sinful sadism, weird horror, absurd humor and an hermetic metaphor of love's final destiny. Strange but true, it all is shown in `Molina's Test'. The cameos of great cuban artists are pretty good and the leading couple deliver, but the best part of the show comes in the hand of the `evil couple' played with nerve by a menacing Luís Alberto García and an extremely insane Zulema Clares, the revelation of the film. Art direction and make up is something to be seen, too.

Maybe `Test' isn't Jorge Molina at his best, but it is without a doubt, a highly disturbing movie that moves weird but successfully between the influences of Jess Franco, José Mojica Marins and the finest Ken Russell. An instant classic of latin american horror.
