A secondary character in this movie, one of the divine warriors, very much resembles the canonical Asgard warrior Fenrir, God Warrior of Alioth, although this name is never given to the character throughout the movie. A companion to this character is another divine warrior, reminiscent of Thor, God Warrior of Phecda, although in this case the resemblance is minor.
In this non-canonical story, the setting of 'the land of Asegard' (sic), would later be used in the series as Asgard, during the Asgard Chapter.
Wasn't officially released in the US until 24 years after it was released in Japan.
