This movie is terrific. The actors blew me away, and I am excited about this director's debut and cannot wait to see more of his work. The subject matter was very intense and an important expose and should be made into a full-length feature. Dandelions should be viewed by today's teenagers and seen by adults as a wake up call. This film should be used in educational programs in all major cities. I was very moved by the character development in such a short amount of time. After seeing this film, I wonder if there are programs in place to identify these lost souls. Dandelions is insightful, frightening and yet inspirational. Personally, I am inspired to look further into why teens go this way and find out how their parents play a role in this degenerate development. Thanks for letting me share my view.

Great cinematography and storyline. Hopefully this film will be a deterrent for a handful, if not more, young adults seeking the "glory lights" of living independently in the streets where drugs and crime are abundant and these individuals are especially high risk candidates.

Far too often young adults, some rebellious, some looking to grow up too fast, some thinking that the grass is greener when you are on your own, fall victim to drug pushers, pimps, street Johns, and sick individuals who prey on children. These kids are often times naive to the world because they have been sheltered or they believe they have an understanding or streetwise because they have lived disadvantaged lives. What they don't fully comprehend is that experience does really come with age and, although they may have seen or experienced the seedy side of life, their youth is a big reason they haven't learned how to avoid the skillful traps set by the more experienced adults who know many seductive tricks to entrap them.

This film short was a provocative and soulful expose' delivered brilliantly within the context of simplicity, and the everyday filth that we choose to ignore as a nation, as a people, as parents, educators and artists...we close our blinds and our eyes in our everyday journey on the gold paved streets of LA. Using the hidden shadows and closeted secrets of the OTHER LA, we are taken on a 24 hour journey utilizing cinematic simplicity...as simple and subtle as a morning breeze...We walk arm and arm through the gut wrenching existence of our truly forgotten street children and the filth that prey on their misfortune!!! MY HEART CRIED AS A PARENT...MY SOUL SOBBED AS A SILENT ACTIVIST...AND I FELL TO MY METAPHORIC KNEES AS A SPIRITUAL SOLIDER...IN PRAYER...HUMBLE! GREAT CINEMATOGRAPHY, DIRECTION AND ACTING!!!! THESE YOUNG ACTORS WILL GO FAR!!!!! With the faces of battered angels that once kicked balls down ceder lined streets, we see the subtle ugliness of heroin addiction, ravaged bodies still maturing, homelessness and hopelessness. I want to see MORE MORE MORE..I want a full length feature baring all the truth so that we as a creative society can stimulate a movement of change!! THANK YOU YARIV FOR REACHING DEEP AND HELPING THE CHILDREN! MAZEL TOV! and GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!

I saw this at the Angel Film Festival in London, and it leaves a strong impression. The acting is brave and the direction is generous to the characters and the story lines. It is also beautifully shot. The only thing I'd change is a bit more of the female storyline, it felt a little like an afterthought compared to the male, and let's face it, the street is a dangerous place for both genders in that situation.I believe the short was made for a charity that helps young people living on the streets, but it works independently of that, so congratulations to the team. It should do well in festivals and should certainly be seen on our cinema screens.

Some good performances from the two male leads, and good production values on display here both on camera and sound but there is one tiny little problem.

The fact thats its all been pretty much been done before in 'Requiem for a Dream' hampers the actual earnestness of this film. Even the payoff the junkies get sequence is stylistically a direct lift from the Aronofski film/Selby book.

Shame really.

Good film but just not original and doesn't thank the right people in the credits to say there is an homage in play here, so its a pilfer in my language.
