Will is back home and asks his parents for an alibi when Hope's attacker stole the murder gun; neither has one, but Lucas fatherly convinces his boy they nor grandma Kate are capable of such horror and promises some family quality time- dance lessons by parental example, but Will leaves them quietly. Philip tries to stop Shawn, who insanely attacks Rex, now blaming him for the attack on Hope, again without any proof; they agree to a lie detector test, legally inadmissible, which is taken by TEK; he passes each crime question but is surprised by a control question about his parents's names.
