In order to get his TV commercial made, Felix needed Oscar's help because Deacon Jones wouldn't talk with any person in everyday life other than Oscar. This was an inside joke, because in real life Jones was one of the more outspoken NFL player personalities, on and off the field.

Felix has a chance to direct a TV commercial with Deacon Jones but Deacon will not appear unless his friend Oscar does it with him.

This a great episode with many funny scenes. Jones is portrayed as a shy quiet man who gets annoyed with overly friendly Felix. Felix tries to bond with Deacon, telling him he understands 400 years of slavery and the busing, it doesn't work. The scenes of the commercial are also very funny.
