This was intended to be a fake pilot episode of a TV series. Director Daniel Bardwell intended to make a sequel / second episode of the franchise known as 'Marvin's Journey' where he meets his father who was assumed dead at sea.
Marvin's mother was voiced by director Daniel Bardwell's grandmother.
