Keye Luke, who portrays Charlie Chan in this TV show, previously co-starred as Lee Chan (Charlie's "#1 Son") in the movie series.
Reportedly, this is the only time that Charlie Chan is actually played by an actor of Chinese descent. Ironically, CC also speaks whole sentences here...as opposed to the movies, in which his vocabulary was much more limited.
All the songs that were included on this show were sung by Ron Dante.
This series was produced during a period in which any Hanna-Barbera series that contained kids, the kids would always have a rock band and do a new song every episode.
This series premiered two weeks after what would have been Charlie Chan creator Earl Derr Biggers's 88th birthday.
