Roman [Jalal Fatemi] and his wife Mariam [Ghogha Bayat] are a Canadian couple visiting the desert in Kerman Province. Their son Marco has died, which puts a strain on their relationship. When their car breaks down in the desert Roman goes into an underground canal and disappears after agreeing in an argument with Mariam that it is time for them to go their separate ways.
