Pride and Glory of Logan County aired weekly on Saturdays at 6 p.m. Central Standard Time on Comcast cable Channel 5 in Lincoln, Illinois. PGLC was created by Logan County Board member Pat O'Neill. He initially contacted Kathy Jean on 22 November 2014 via the Facebook social networking website to ask if she would appear in a segment. He was so impressed with her at their business meeting two days later at Avanti's in Pekin, Illinois that he decided to offer her a permanent paid position as the show's only primary co-host.
