Before you count my review off , Please let it be known that i picked this game up early from a neighborhood game store, that sells games as soon as they get Delivered.

When you start out, You get to Creater your character. There's caucasian, Asian, African American, And Hispanic. From there, you can edit facial features, such as eyes and facial hair, You can edit your hairstyle and color, and Edit muscle mass. The Character customization is amazing, blows San andreas out of the water. Saints row also features Superb Ragdoll physics, You can crash and send the passenger flying through the window. The mission types are Better than in grand theft auto. There Are numerous Side missions. There's Insurance Fraud, Where you throw yourself into oncoming traffic, There's hijacking where you steal a car and bring it back to a garage. There's Snatch, where you go and steal Hookers from other pimps and bring them back to your employing pimp. The controls are Great. You don't use auto aim like in other games of the type, you use third person controls similar to max payne. The Cars are pretty cool, and the damage modeling is A nice twist to what you see in driver, gta, etc. There are a lot of Car types, and you can also customize your car.The only downside is the cars Handle like in true crime, which isn't a good thing.Online play is Great as well, where teams of up to 12 can engage in numerous gametypes.

Overall, this game is the full package, and you would be doing yourself an injustice by not purchasing it.

To call this game a knockoff undermines how good it really is. A replica of GTA in every sense of the word however who's to say that just because it steals from one of the best "sand box" video games in the world why wouldn't this be just as good, it is in fact as good if not better than GTA. The main thing that stands out in this game above the other "sand box" games is the characters, the characters however stereotypical they may be still are brilliant and enjoyable. The Humor is perfectly delivered, even if it is being delivered from the gutter. If you're easily offended or can't sit through and episode of The Sopranos, Nip/Tuck, or The Shield than this game probably isn't for you. The voice acting is great, a knock out cast rounds out the impressive game play derived from the amazing HAVOC engine used, the future is here and it is RAGDOLL physics. While most of the missions are derived from GTA there are a few choice new ones that leaving you laughing and cringing at the same time, Insurance Fraud and Mayhem are quite possibly the funnest mini games you will play in any "sand box" title, all in all this is an excellent game, even though its far from original, however i for one will be looking forward to a sequel or at least another attempt at criminal life by Volition.

I'm a fan of most rockstar games like Manhunt, The Warriors and of course Grand Theft Auto. But I got bored of GTA San Andreas very quickly. However, as soon as I played Saints Row at my friends house I knew it was a GTA beater. Why? First off all, graphically its far better plus there's a lot more you can do like insurance fraud, hit-man jobs, and holding up stores (which you can break into at night and steal money out of the safes) The combat is far better and the whole customize your character works really well. Its cool how you can shoot out your windows in any direction unlike the terrible drive-bys in GTA. Also the explosions are really good. The vehicle goes flying in the air as parts fly of it which is cool. The shooting is really good. No longer does it just auto aim immediately at the enemies head to kill.

Unfortunately you cant ride on motorcycles and helicopters but the amount of cars and trucks makes up for it I suppose. But it would have been better if THQ stretched out a little further to give a bigger variety of vehicles. Thats the main reason GTA is better but overall Saints Row gains more than it looses. You can even by music for your MP3 player in Saints Row Overall, Saints Row is an excellent game that defiantly gives Grand Theft Auto a run for its money and THQ did a good job of fixing GTA's faults

As soon as I started playing I was amazed. First you get to build your player and then it is show time. As you go throughout the game you realize more things you can do. You can go to stores to buy food for health, buy guns for missions, buy cars or upgrade them, buy clothes, jewelery and other things. (not to mention you can hold these stores up to get money.)The world is immense but if you play long enough, you get used to where everything is. The game has a vast arsenal of guns. 1. Pistols: Beretta 92, Glock, 44. magnum revolver and Desert Eagle. 2. SMGs: MAC 10 and Tec-9. 3. Rifles: M4A1, AK-47, .50 semi-auto sniper(Macmanus). 4. Shotguns: Pump 870, Pump grip stock 500, sawed off, and SPAS 12. 5. Explosives: Pipe bomb, Molitov, grenades and an RPG. 6. Hand-held: Knife, crowbar, bat. All of these guns have different names in the game though...... The game is the longest i've ever played. After 4 full days of playing I had only done 30% of the game! Many plot twists and lots of famous voice acting. The aiming system is a advanced version of that used in the Punisher game and works much better than GTA's auto aim. Although you can't fly planes, drive boats, or bikes you can take passengers hostage and do other activities to gain respect so you can play missions(this gets a little annoying when you have to fill the respect bar in order to play every mission, especially when you really get into the story). The difficulty isn't nearly as hard as GTA(thank god) This is one of the most amazing games I've ever played for XBox 360 and I'm sure glad they plan to make a sequel. But It puzzles me how after..... no I can't, big spoiler! You will not be disappointed, I promise. 10/10 **********/**********!

A good entry point into the world of saints row which admittedly does eventually become odd this ground level game is perfectly enjoyable as a gangster experience so to speak even if it's fairly generic

Saints Row is a fun game to play, if your a fan of GTA The beginning of the story is that there are three gangs meet up and somehow began a shootout, until Julius rescues you from one of The Vice King gang member.

The good: Has great weapons You can create your own person (that's just a man only) Variety of cars to choose or steal The storyline are great Xbox Live game activities are awesome There are 4 gangs and you can only join one and thats The 3rd Street Saints. There are a variety of clothes you can choose from The Bad: You can't create a girl. You can't choose a gang or create a gang. There's not enough clothes to choose from in your own desire.

The Ugly (Thats very bad): Your player dives like a dummy crash testers! Too many glitches. Some Online players can cheat on Live quite easily. Your player doesn't speak much. (similar to GTA III)

I am a big GTA fan. I love everything about Grand theft auto except the graphics. But what i don't like is GTA copycats. They are usually boring, dull, and just trying to make a name for itself. But Saints row is just different. Sure it is very very similar to San andreas but u have to admit, there are some features in the game that are quite original. Here are the pros and cons

Pros: Great map and GTA like experience - Graphics are pretty good - Weapons are just great and realistic - Missions and activities are usually fun - Great voice acting and cast - pretty good storyline - Characters are interesting - Great sound

Cons: Missions get a little too repetitive at times, not much creativity to the mission design - Lots of glitches - No blood or gore to add to the fun - Lacks a good ending
