Canada Vignettes are a group of short films done by the National Film Board of Canada: Some of those shorts were animated and each one of them made a very interesting depiction of different aspects from the culture and history of Canada.

"Wooly Mammoth" is an interesting and well made documentary stop-motion animation about prehistoric life from the Ice Age, showing a woolly mammoth and its offspring.

The animation style is very realistic and detailed. Of course that, by modern standards, some of movements could be seem a bit stiff, but considering the time when this little short was made, it is fairly impressive.

Personally, I found "Woolly Mammoth" to be way more charming than other CGI animations about prehistoric life from the recent years.

this short called woolly mammoth was another one minute film that the national flim board produced for t.v.honesty there not much to say about this little film-it's about a mother and her child eating grass with a narrater telling us about the mammoths and how they know what they looked like.they add some drama then it ends.i recommend it for it's use of stop motion animation, it's great.
