The story was originally meant to contain moments of overt cannibalism. When this became impractical to shoot, rewrites changed the story to center on a post-apocalyptic theme.
This is one of eight shorts that tells a larger narrative. Director Gabe Villarreal, his cast and crew have been hard at work to create a feature called "Frenetic," an anthology that focus a detective as she investigates a cult. The complete feature is currently waiting selection at a number of festivals.
