Waheeda Rehman, who would later become a leading actress in Hindi cinema, made her debut in this film as a dancer, appearing in the club music number Salam Babu.

Actress Padmini was initially given the role of the female lead Marziana, but she was subsequently replaced by P. Bhanumathi.
