At the end of this episode is a dedication to Victor Wayne Harris the assistant prop manager for the show who died in August 1996 from a stroke.
In the library, Newman (Wayne Knight) secretly coaches Kramer (Michael Richards) as he talks to Pam (Kim Myers). In the episode Seinfeld: The Old Man (1993), the roles are reversed. In that episode, in the record store, Kramer is Newman's "coach", whispering to him from behind what to say to the record store owner.
Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) and George (Jason Alexander) spend a lengthy period of time waiting while the tape is rewound, but later it's revealed that the recorder was shut off after only recording approx. five seconds of audio.
Jerry Lewis was the inspiration behind the story line where George (Jason Alexander) thinks the people in the foundation are talking about him & secretly places a tape recorder in a briefcase to catch them out. According to writers Max Pross and Tom Gammill, Lewis used to do the exact same thing.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Elaine) and Tim DeKay (Kevin) also appeared together on Edessä uusi elämä: Rage Against the Christine (2008).
George's (Jason Alexander) model of the foundation's conference room includes a Red Power Rangers Zeo action figure and a Yellow M&M figure.
While Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) and George (Jason Alexander) discuss prison, George says "Maybe some day". In the series finale, Seinfeld: The Finale (1998), they go to prison.
