Owen Moore, as the country boy who bursts into the middle of the reception, gets hold of the observer immediately. The story runs smoothly and develops nicely up to a certain point, but we looked for greater change in the country boy's manners and appearance. We do not believe the fascinating Fritzi Brunette , would have married him in that short coat and high-water trousers. Not enough contrast, but a good piece of character work as far as it goes. Above the average picture in interest. - The Moving Picture World, March 22, 1913
