"The Birds and the Bees Bit" was Larry Hagman's second outing as director, following the same storyline as his first, "There Goes the Bride," with genie and master ready to go to the altar once again. Tony learns that any genie that marries a mortal loses her magical powers forever, and instantly proposes for that very reason. Roger believes that his buddy won't have a future as an astronaut if the wedding takes place. Abraham Sofaer returns as Haji, king of all the genies, who naturally assumes that the impending bride has tired of her 'dog of a master!' Wishing to learn if marrying a mortal will take away her powers, Haji's crystal ball shows her and Major Healey what will happen if she becomes Mrs. Anthony Nelson. Sofaer would be back to play Haji once more in "Divorce, Genie Style," while Larry Hagman's third and final directorial outing would be a different entry, "Jeannie and the Great Bank Robbery."
