While the Earthlings confront the evil tyrant Frieza, their wish to bring Piccolo to Namek had been fulfilled. As Piccolo races towards the battle, he stumbles upon a fellow Namekian who faces near death. The wounded Namekian informs Piccolo that a fusion between the two would create newborn power in piccolo that could possibly destroy Frieza.
