Carlos finds the shed wonderful for his reading. Analena realizes she is in love with Gunter. She finds him in the hotel with Constanze Münzberg who wants to attend Carlos' reading. Analena tries to speak with him later but he is too busy. She looks disappointed when he seems to have time for Constanze. Gunter visits Analena in the laundry service. He offers her his excuses and they reconcile. Theo reads aloud out of books while Henri serves festival guests soup. Edda meets singing and guitar playing Theo in front of his grill wagon. They visit Carlos' reading together. Carlos and his fan Constanze leave together after the reading. Carlos sees through Theo who tries a trick to get his sign. But Theo addresses to him the content of his reading which convinces Carlos, while Constanze is in his suite, to give him his sign dedicated to Edda.
